How to unselect posts page in settings/reading
-
I went to Settings / Reading and selected my posts hub page to be ‘Hiking Tips & Advice’. That is the correct page that I want to automatically show all my latest blog posts. However, I couldn’t find any way to customise the design and layout of the page. I spent A LOT of time asking for help on this and got nowhere. Moving on from this issue, I found a new solution. There is a block in WP editor (I don’t use generate blocks, just standard WP editor) that allows me to create a page that lists all my latest blog posts automatically. It has sufficient styling and customising options that I can create a posts hub page that I am happy with. My pages are live so I don’t want to delete the original posts hub page URL: https://insiderhiking.com/hiking-tips-advice/ . I want to create my customisable blogs post page at the same URL. Indeed, in the backend of WP I have created the page I want. But because in Settings / Reading the option is ticked to have that page as my posts page, the theme is overriding everything I do in WP editor. I want to UNSELECT the option to have Hiking Tips & Advice as my posts page. But I can’t find any way to unselect this option. This is not the best way to create a hub page for posts because it only shows extra large images. I don’t want to use this option. How can I remove it?
