How to unwrap preformatted text

    Previously I was using the theme Yoko which would show preformatted text unwrapped with a slider at the bottom if the lines are too long.
    After changing the theme to Twenty Fourteen I am finding that all preformatted text is wrapped. This is a problem with posting any code as preformatted text as single lines become multiple line now.
    Is there any way to make the preformatted text unwrapped as it was in Yoko and have a slider at the bottom of the text?
