How to update an already published post – can I delete?
-
I have a new and updated recipe that I would like to publish over a previous one. If I delete the previous one, it would create a broken link. Should I keep the old post and just inform readers to go to my updated post – with the new link, or can I delete the old post?
TIA (thanks in advance) :)

In your “All Posts” panel, you simply click “edit” on the post you wish to edit and make any changes, then on the right-hand side, click the blue “update” button. This button replaces the usual “Publish” button.

If you make a new Post with the improved recipe – keep the old Post so the link will not be broken – then you have two options – put a bit note at the top with a “this has been updated” with a click on link to the new Post – you can leave the old recipe content if you want or you can delete the old content and just leave the note to the new recipe – no links are broken with search engines and nobody needs to search your site to the update

@liamsagooch – thanks, I’m familiar with the edit/update function.
@auxclass – I did just that, thanks :)
