How to update Shoreditch theme to look like the demo, not a blog

  • Unknown's avatar

hello! I’ve just installed the Shoreditch theme and have poked around into seemingly every menu option, but I can’t seem to force it to use the “business” layout template versus the blog template.

I would like to make my site look like this demo: https://shoreditchdemo.wordpress.com/

I see instructions about updating the template, and when I click on the link I’m directed to these instructions: https://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/page-options/#template

But I can’t find this drop down menu anywhere through the “customize theme” console nor the settings page.

Has anyone experienced this? Any help would be greatly appreciated :)

    Hello @dtinewsite2017v1

But I can’t find this drop down menu anywhere through the “customize theme” console nor the settings page.

That dropdown can be accessed via the Page Editor.

    1. Go to: https://wordpress.com/page/
    2. Click on the 3-dots “•••” and click on Edit beside the page name. This will open up the page editor.
    3. On the sidebar of the page editor there is a Page Attributes tab, click on that.
    4. You will find the Page Template dropdown there.

NOTE: the options on that dropdown depend upon the theme you are using. So it might not be the same as given here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/page-options/#template

Also to exactly match the Shoreditch theme demo read the description on the theme page: https://wordpress.com/theme/shoreditch.

If you already read the description, please provide more details about what are you trying to do so that we can help you step by step.

Let us know if you need any further help with this. Thanks! 🙂
