How to Upload A Plugin to my WordPress Blog?

  Ok, I got a username.wordpress.com kind of blog going on.
  I wish to add some widgets and cheked it out and landed with the undermentioned.

  Upload the ‘simple-bookmarking’ folder to the ‘/wp-content/plugins/’ directory
  Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ menu in WordPress

  How do I go about doing this? When I press download, it comes
  out as a zip file. I believe I have to save it but how do I upload it?

  Do advice. Also can I just check is the password/user ID for wordpress.com
  same as wordpress.org? Tnks.
