How to upload a theme downloaded from another site

  I downloaded a free theme from a theme designer. I cannot find an option that allows me to upload that theme to my wordpress site. I have a zip file that I should be able to upload.

  Hi @jennifermjones,

  Unfortunately you can’t upload custom theme on WordPress.com site. If you want to use custom theme by uploading the zip you can use self-hosted WordPress. You can find the differences between WordPress.com and WordPress.org (self-hosted) here. And to ask anything regarding WordPress.org you can go to https://wordpress.org/support/.
