How to upload an outside theme?

  I am just getting started and have found a them that I really like but am unsure of how to upload it onto wordpress.

  Can someone show me how?

  Also if there is a pre existing theme very similar to this one being offered on WordPress, I would much rather go with that option.

  On wordpress.com the only themes available are here:
  dashboard —> appearance —> themes

  Check out the theme showcase here:
  http://theme.wordpress.com/

  There are different flavors of wordpress. If you must have the theme you found then you will have to look into self-hosting your site.
