Hello rklinkha!
I’m not sure if I understood your question. The site you have at WordPress.com is “robertklinkhamer.wordpress.com” and it’s empty. This other site “robertklinkhamer.com” is not a WordPress site. If you want to install the WordPress application on your server, you will have a WordPress.org site. You can check the differences between WordPress.com and WordPress.org sites on the link below:
Also, on the link above you can see the instructions to set up your WordPress.org site. Let us know how it goes and if you need any help.

I know the difference between .org and .com. I have registered my site name and obtained a host server as mentioned above. I have spent weeks setting up my site by getting plugins, themes etc etc but cannot view the results. I did an online course from Udemy (70 lessons). At the start of the course the online tutor (OT) said that there were 2 ways that a site could be set up either .com or .org. My understanding was that the .com side was in the cloud as opposed to having everything on my computer, the .org option. So the WP I’m using I set up and access through a bookmark. The interface is the dashboard that is used in .org so I can access more features as instructed by the course. I can’t view my website and all I want to do is get the files of the pages and posts I have created so far so I can upload to my host server. I have screen shots of my dashboard and also a shot of when I click ‘Visit website’ which just comes out as Times typeface and no formatting at all. These files must exist somewhere, right.

rklinkha, a WordPress.com site is hosted with us and a WordPress.org site is hosted somewhere else. A WordPress site on your computer is a local installation and will not be available on the internet. I can’t find any content on both address (“robertklinkhamer.wordpress.com” and “robertklinkhamer.com”). If you want to set up a WordPress.org site on your host service, you need to install the WordPress there, you can do that using FTP access or getting in touch with their support to see if they have an automated option.
It appears that the content you’re talking about is local at your computer, you can see that on the URL you’re accessing. Which is the URL you have bookmarked?

The bookmark is http://robertklinkhamer.com/wordpress/wp-admin/
When I look at my dashboard home page, at a glance panel, it tells me I have created and published 1 post and 7 pages using Reddle theme. I cannot view these because I get 404 messages. All I wanted to do was upload these to my host server. OK I did all this work for nothing, the files do not exist, certainly not on my computer. So you’re saying that I should download WP to my computer, and recreate what I’ve spent weeks on already. This is very disappointing and a huge waste of time. Is there some way of transferring this work and set up I’ve done already?

rklinkha, your dashboard at “robertklinkhamer.com/wordpress/wp-admin” is for a WordPress.org site, that means is hosted somewhere and because of that I don’t have access to your site and files, I can’t see what you see. So, I can’t check why your site is showing those 404 errors.
If you’re able to access the Dashboard, I suggest you try to export the content. And then try to reinstall the WordPress on your server, because it appears that something is broken (as you can see it here http://robertklinkhamer.com/wordpress). I suggest you get in touch with your host service to understand what happened, or you can get more support about WordPress.org sites at:
