How to upload MP3 Player and file to my blog

    First of all, I have a free account. Based on the answer that I saw (shown) below I need a paid account in order to upload the MP3 Player. I don’t understand this because I have uploaded a video file directly to my blog in the past from YouTube without any problem. Here is your answer to the question, followed by my specific problem.
    Add audio files to your blog by uploading supported filetypes (.mp3, .m4a, .ogg, or .wav) somewhere on the internet and use the audio shortcode, buy the Space Upgrade to upload directly to your blog, create a download link to the file hosted elsewhere, or embed the SoundCloud AudioPlayer. You can also create a playlist, and customize the color and size of the audio player (Flash or HTML5)
    This is my specific issue:
    I have a file from NPR that is in MP3 format that I have tried to upload to my WordPress Blog and it does not work. I tried going to the HTML text and embedding the code and it disappears. I also tried placing the URL link to the file in the post and instead of showing the MP3 reader it only shows the link. I unlinked the URL as required before saving. Since the embed code did not work I thought there may have been a problem because the source was NPR instead of YouTube or another designated video source. So I downloaded the NPR file to my computer and uploaded it to VZAAR and used their code and link and it still did not work. Please advise how to get the file to upload with the NPR reader showing in my blog. Thanks.

    In order to upload an mp3 file from your computer straight to your WordPress.com account, you need a space upgrade. You can read more about the various storage upgrades we offer here:

    However, if you would like to embed a video from Youtube, you can easily do that by inserting the URL of the video on its own line in your post. You can read more about video sources we support here:

    We do not support video embeds from NPR or VZAAR. Try uploading the file to Youtube or Vimeo!
