How to upload pictures effectively

  Hi,

  I’ve recently started a food blog that contains a lot of photos. I’m noticing that once my photos are uploaded to WordPress, they look duller than the copy I have on my computer. Both .jpeg and .png produce the same result, but somehow this doesn’t happen (or at least not noticeably so) when I post on other websites.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Perhaps it may have something to do with the maximum size of the photos. Go to Settings – Media, and check your maximum size compared to the photos you have your computer.

  I use IrfanView to resize, works well. But I think some people may not be willing to edit their photos all the time prior to uploading.
