How to use “Full-width, no sidebar” template on Piano Black

  I’m trying to use Piano Black so I can have the sidebar only on the main page, and then having no sidebar on the posts themselfs. But I’m not being able to get this done.

  Pages are not Posts. http://en.support.wordpress.com/post-vs-page/

  No Sidebar Pages
  Optionally hide the sidebar on pages using the “Full-width, no sidebar” template option when creating or editing a page. Content on pages using this template will span the entire width of the layout. http://theme.wordpress.com/themes/piano-black/

  Does that mean I’m stuck with the sidebar on my posts then?

  I can only have a nice fullwidth page on pages not on posts?

  anyway to have the sidebar only on the main page and then having nosidebar once inside the post?

  I’m asking this because I use a lot the links on the mainpage of my blog, but once inside the post it would be nice to have fullwidth so the videos people share on the blog will be a bit bigger

  Yes. That’s exactly what it means. Please see this if you wish to locate another theme that provides what you want “Sidebar optional:” on posts.

  Just to make things more interesting, I want a BLACK sidebar optional on posts theme

  Sidebar optional:
  Chateau, Elegant Grunge, Fruit Shake, Fusion, iNove, Modularity Lite, Mystique, P2, PILCROW, Twenty Eleven.

  The theme I already use have the sidebar optional option to chose as an optional option

  how cool is that??

  no I just have to figure out how to do use this sooo cool option

  “Sidebar optional” means you can enable or disable the sidebar for the whole blog, not selectively. If what you want is sidebar on the main page but no sidebar when viewing a single post, see here:

  that’s exactly what I want

  so, just these themes can give me what I want?? Black-Letterhead, Day Dream, Iceburgg, Kubrick, Sapphire: no sidebar

  You could also consider switching to a wider theme instead of a no-sidebar-on-posts theme. See here:
