How to use a text widget
-
I’d like to show some links to older posts in a text widget in the sidebar. I’ve selected the widget, and there’s a title box and a space below. So I give it a title like “Popular Posts’ or something and then what goes in the box below? Copy and paste the links to the posts? Or do I key in the titles of the posts and paste the link into each title?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Do you mean go into the editor and copy the permalink, the web address with the title of the post separated by hyphens?

I use the Post / Page editor – make a link using the Visual editor – save draft – then switch to Text (html) and copy the html code and paste it into the text Widget

Sorry I don’t understand. You said go into the Post/Page editor… that’s the editor that shows the whole post? I can’t see how to make a link… I usually copy the url and go into Links…

Could someone clarify this? Do I copy the permalink in the editor – the one that has the title of the post separated by hyphens – and paste that into the box in the text widget?
