How to use ClockLink
-
I want to paste a clock in my sidebar in the blog;
and this site facilitates it:http://www.clocklink.com/ENG/blog.htm
So how do i use the html tag provided and where do i paste it? and how?
-
Having looked at the site, unfortunately it uses Javascript which is disabled for security on wp.com blogs.
This means that you won’t be able to use it. It’s a shame, ‘cos I quite like the look of that too!

Yeah just read the faq it was mentioned abt the javascript
so sick this policy of theirs is..anyway is it possible to use the embedded tags?
because 2 code snippets are given and one being js is ruled out.. -
I just tried the embed in one of my blogs: http://cornell.wordpress.com/ (in the sidebar)
It would seem that that is blocked too.

And I would have to disagree with the “sick” comment. It’s fantastic that the crew have this security in place.
Do a search on the forum for “security” and you’ll see WHY Javascript and embed are disabled.

ok then podz and cornell wud u plz explain the fact that a lot of other blogs like blogger permit this and they are able to have those clocks and they dont seem to have any problems?
PS: i am sorry to have used that word in ignorance!sorry again :(

Now I know I cannot use ClockLink thanks to you all.
But I would like to show a clock (time and date, if possible) on my blog even now.
Does anyone know the clock services which can be used in wordpress.com?Thanks in advance
-
All the clock services I have seen have been based on Javascripts or even java. I haven’t found any that would be allowed here as User inputed.
Best bet would be to send in a Feedback and ask for this as a widget of some sort.
Good luck,

There must be one out there, or developing it mustn’t be too hard; I’ve got the Weather Pixie in my sidebar and it shows not only time but also barometric pressure, cloud ceiling, etc, etc. Surely if someone’s developed this, someone’s developed a plain old clock that will work in a widget on WordPress.

There are some nice stickers here that show time and weather.
http://www.wunderground.com/They are html and can be used in our blogs. I had one of them on my blog earlier.
