How to use different styles in posts with the theme Columnist
-
Hi all,
I am learning to use the Columnist theme and I ca’nt understand how to use the different syles available for text put in posts and featured in the demo at: http://thecolumnistdemo.wordpress.com/html-elements/ since there aren’t so many dedicated buttons in the editor. For example: how could I use a Heading 1 Title or a Heading 2? Then, how to organize text using columns: 2 or 3 columns? Finally: could I use direct HTML markup in the text editor window of a post? I mean: I can see that there is HTML code, but are there any limits? If I would customize the CSS adding new classes, then I could use them in the textual editor?
Thanks

Hi there,
Yes, you can use the different styles as you linked in your post. That page shows how the different header sizes and other styles used by that theme.
For more information on how to use the different style options in WordPress, see:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/visual-editor/If you’d like to add HTML in a post, you can do so by switching to the Text Editor:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/editors/#text-editorYou do not have access to the php template files for a theme, so you can’t add classes or divs to the theme itself, but you can if needed within an individual post or page. You can use custom CSS if you purchase the Custom Design upgrade, allowing you to modify any of the theme’s CSS.
