How to use spoilers?

I’m a beginner user. I have the basic plan which apparently does not allow plugins. I want to write a text that would include three different hidden words that the user has to click on individually before he or she can see them.
Something like: After the boys went [spoiler]home[/spoiler], they entered their [spoiler]rooms[/spoiler] but were surprised to find their [spoiler]beds[/spoiler] overturned.
Is there an easy way to do this for someone who does not know programming or anything? Thanks.

As a workaround in the meantime, especially since you said “but only when the reader can choose whether to click a link” you could use page jumps to accomplish this, either with the spoiler on the same post or page at the bottom or on an entirely separate page.
