How to use the Widgets?

    Hi Sophia,

    I’m not sure I understand your question. You mentioned that you want to include links to your cookbooks. If you want to link to your Cookbooks page, you can select “Cookbooks” to add the link to that page. That page is here:

    https://specialasianfood.wordpress.com/cookbooks/

    If you want to link to a different page, can you please give me a link to the page you want to send people to for each cookbook?

    As you can see in my previous email above 2 July, 4:11 PM please correct me if I am wrong – I click Page>Add New>Title (I type) The Asian Cookbook>Click Link Icon (next page says)
    Enter Destination URL (I enter as)
    http://specialasianfood.wordpress.com (below shows)
    (Do I tick Link Text open in new window/tab or link to existing content like Cookbooks below)
    Link Text
    __ open link in a new window/tab
    Or link to existing content (arrow up down)
    No search terms specified showing recent items. (The list below showing my pages on menu e.g.)
    Testimonials …………………………………………….. Page
    Recipe Titles ……………………………………………… Page
    Cookbooks ……………………………………………….. Page

    I click Cookbooks then click Add Link – next page shows no words in page Visual or Text like <a href="http://your groovydomain.com"> There is no HTML for me to copy and paste in Text Widget.

    Please advise. Thanks.

    Hi Sophia,

    Thank you for explaining your steps. Before you click the link icon, please highlight the text you typed there. That way, the “Link Text” box will show your text “The Asian Cookbook.”

    You don’t need to tick the box “Open in new window/tab” unless you want the link to open in a new window or tab. (That’s up to you. It will work either way.)

    Please let me know if you have questions about that. :)

    Thank you for your patience.

    I edit the Text Link below The Asian Cookbook in the Sidebar and it shows quite a gap between the books and also cannot link to the Cookbooks in the Menu (I think forget about this – it is not necessary to link).

    Q1. I saw WordPress How to Create Table of Contents by using Plugin http://www.wpbeginner.com>log>WordPress Plugin. How can I use this?

    Q2. Where can I find WordPress.com Site Map and how can I edit below About Me page or where is a good location?

    Q3. How do I edit Date, Month and Year?

    I would appreciate your assistance and reply. Thanks.

    Hi Sophia,

    Can you please start a new forum thread for each of your questions? That way, staff and volunteers can help answer each of those questions separately. That will help avoid any confusion, and make it easier for other users to search for answers to the same questions. :)

    I’m unaware of a limit to the length of a page. The proper length of a page of the table of contents will be for you to decide. To break a long page up into multiple pages, you may use the NextPage tag.
