How to use themes

    I’ve selected a theme I like and customized it a bit. When I click on the “write” icon my header does not appear. I’ve typed up a little of my first entry for my blog and would like to have it appear in the theme I have selected but I am completely frustrated and don’t know what to do. PS I’ve been out of the country a while and am very behind on technology.
