how to use twenty fourteen theme

  I am extremely frustrated with WordPress. I am looking for a tutorial or walk-through so I can set up a website in Twenty Fourteen theme. I have spent so much time trying to figure it out, and I have not come across any instructions on how to even set up the grid or where to do it, or if it’s older posts or what it might be. I can usually poke around and figure stuff out as I have done on my other WordPress sites but not this time.

  I must say that I am very tired of bad technical writing and tutorials (in general as well as on your site). If I find something of use it’s usually in a forum or by some independent designer on the web. It takes so much of my time to just find things out, when you should offer clear instructions yourself.

  Please direct me to a tutorial or walk-through on how to set up Twenty Fourteen theme. I have searched and cannot find one. The theme details don’t instruct so don’t send me there, unless the details go beyond the simple paragraph next to the theme.

  I appreciate and thank you in advance for a clear, easily understood reply. No geek-talk please.

  The info in that article is not very instructive—it only goes over features without really showing how to do anything. I am limping along still trying to figure it out myself. Do you have something more comprehensive…a tutorial perhaps?

  Could you at least describe how to set the “featured” posts in the grid/slider? How and where does one set a post as featured?

  Never mind. I figured out how to set a featured article. I like this theme for my purpose, and hope in the future your instruction might be more comprehensive.
