I would like to use zemanta with my own blog posts
Apparently this is possible. But I can’t get it to work!

My apologies!
I should have linked you our Zemanta support page:

*sigh* some days….you know how it is.

No worries. But, sadly, I’d already got that far and have activated Zemanta. What I would like it to do is to recommend my own posts. And according to the help, you need to go to the Zemanta widget to allow that. Problem is, I can’t find the Zemanta widget! It’s not on the widgets page. And on the post page, it doesn’t allow editing of those parameters.

Where are you seeing these instructions to use the widget?

So it looks like those instructions are for the plugin version of Zemanta that I linked to earlier. Those options are not available on the WordPress.com version.

Thanks for that! I expect I prolly won’t use Zemanta then, as I was looked for a substitute for LinkWithin.
Thank for your help.

Happy to help.
Let me know if there is anything else I can do for you. Otherwise, thanks for using WordPress.
