How to verify that I own my domain with google apps

  Hi, I am trying to set up an email address for my blog (anygivenreason.com). I’ve registered (email visible only to moderators and staff) with Google apps, yet I think it’s changed since the instructions were written. The steps about google were all a bit different, and now I can’t work out how to verify I own the domain through google apps. On the instruction page (http://en.support.wordpress.com/domain-mapping/google-apps-email/) I’m up to step 10 all good, but the the bit it says in step 10 never came up for me. I tried pasting the bit of DNS code google gives into the custom DNS box on Domains, but it comes up with an error message saying WordPress can’t save it, and I don’t know how to do it the other ways google suggests. I’m completely lost and way out of my depth!

  I’ve checked your current DNS settings and it looks fine. Is e-mail working for you now?
