I’ve checked your website, and it appears that you’re using the BBPress Theme. Translations for this theme are only available if they’re 100% complete and stable. In the case of Vietnamese, it’s currently at 60%, which means you’ll need to download the translation files manually and upload them to your website.
- Download the .po and .mo translation files here:
BBPress Vietnamese (Trunk)
(Below the table, you’ll find an “Export” button. By default, it’s set to export the .po file. Click “Export” to download the .po file. Then, change the dropdown to “Machine Object Message Catalog” and click “Export” again to obtain the .mo file.) - Make sure the file names are as follows:
bbpress-vi_VN.po
bbpress-vi_VN.mo - Using sFTP, upload both the
.poand.mofiles to the/wp-content/languages/bbpress/directory of your WordPress installation. If the/wp-content/languages/and/wp-content/languages/bbpress/folders don’t exist, create them.
Please consider contributing to the bbPress translation project. By doing so, more people can have access to a complete translation!

Sorry, There is a misunderstanding here, I didn’t know it automatically shortens the Blog link. I mean I’m trying to translate the WordPress.com homepage here: https://translate.wordpress.com/projects/wpcom/vi/default/

If you’re looking for the specific strings that appear on the main page, you can see more string results by clicking on ‘Settings’ in the top right corner and increasing the number of results per page (try not to go higher than ‘500’ to avoid long loading times). Then, filter by ‘Date added (original)’ and ‘Order: Ascending’.
By doing that, most results in the first pages are gonna be strings related to the WordPress Home Page (they’re mostly already translated).
I can try to find the specific string you’re having trouble with if you still can’t find it.
Let me know!
-
I set it up as you instructed and looked for the String “WordPress Without Limits” on the home page but couldn’t find it.

-
I’m not staff, but I understand that the WordPress Homepage serves as the commercial face of WordPress. Therefore, it is probably administered internally to ensure that changes to strings there do not impact WordPress SEO.
However, we can attempt to initiate an official request for Vietnamese translation by reaching out to a moderator. I’ve already added the ‘modlook’ tag to this reply so that a mod can review your request asap.

Hi @maciejpilarski Yes, I am currently working on completing the Vietnamese translation at https://translate.wordpress.com/projects/wpcom/vi/default/ which has increased from 29% to 53% complete.
The reason I want to do the translation for marketing pages is clearly stated here https://wordpress.com/blog/2024/09/10/developer-roadmap/#comment-444179 -

And my big goal is that Vietnamese users can read your marketing pages such as home page, product pages and price list to understand what is what, to easily make a purchase decision.
In addition, Docs on the support page also needs to be in Vietnamese, that is where users need to read their language.
The localization language war of big companies like Apple, Canva and Photoshop … is happening very strongly in Vietnam. And I hope WordPress will soon have this advantage.

Hello!
Thank you for your reply. As mentioned, some of the content of the WordPress.com Homepage won’t be available for public translation.
The current WordPress.com project translation to Vietnamese is 85%. If you would like to contribute to it, you can find the missing 15% of the translations here:

To add to the previous comments – translations for marketing pages and support documents are managed internally, but anyone could contact us with corrections and suggestions. There is no support yet for translating the marketing pages and support documents into Vietnamese. It might happen at some point, but there is no specific timeline for implementing that.
