How to view page in edit mode?
-
In edit mode – pages look blank or with a few red squiggles. Usually, when I go to add something, I can see the text from previous uploads. If I go to the site without being in edit mode, the pages load fine but when I want to edit them, nada. I don’t know what would happen if I were to add my new text and upload. I think I need to see what’s there as I have in the past – but I can’t. What’s up with that?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Are you referring to this site? https://hksounds.wordpress.com/
To locate any page we go to Dashboard > Pages > All pages
There we hover over the Page title that we want to edit and we click the Edit link when it appears. -
Note that you are running an older theme that was retired long ago. Themes are retired when they no longer support all wordpress.COM features. The recommendation is to change to a newer theme please. Your can browse 99 Free Two Columns + Right Sidebar WordPress Themes here https://theme.wordpress.com/themes/features/two-columns+right-sidebar/?sort=free
When you change a theme, nearly everything comes with you. Your posts, pages, media, blogroll and all of your content stay with you. However, there are adjustments to make so see here https://en.support.wordpress.com/themes/#switch-themes

Yes, I am referring to that site and are you saying older themes no longer accept updates?
