How to “white-out” the grey side strips in K2-lite
-
Hi All,
I’d like to get rid of the grey side strips on my blog, http://solidgoldcreativity.com. It uses theme K2-lite. I’d like to have them white instead of grey. Any suggestions much appreciated. Many thanks in advance.

ha ha, too easy, huh? Thanks once again, my friend ;)
What about if I wanted to move the main post column to the right by about half an inch (while keeping it the same width cos I prefer narrower column width … easier to read)?

@TSP, btw, love the grey tabs at the top. It’s lighter and airier than a solid black strip. Ta.

You’re welcome. You could use a light grey strip across the bottom of the image, but I like having tabs that have different colors for inactive, hover and active status, and using the grey tabs retains that.

Yes, I think the grey tabs work really well. Also, one last question …
I would like to move the main post column to the right by about half an inch (while retaining the same col width cos I prefer narrow column width). I’ve played around with #primary margin and padding commands, but no luck so far.
Thanks. SGx

To move the primary section to the right, you will have to specify all 4 padding values. In margin or padding, the sequence is top, right, bottom, left, so in #primary, change the padding to the following:
padding:20px 0 10px 40px;The 40px value is the one you will have to play with. 40px seems pretty good though.

You’re welcome.
With any CSS declarations that you are unsure of just head over to http://www.w3schools.com which has all the information on all the different CSS properties.
