How to widen the sidebar?
-
Hi all,
First see my blog http://flossexperiences.wordpress.com
I am using the Kubrick Theme. Now the Sidebar on the blog is smallish compared to the content contained therein. How can I fix this -
With Kubrick, it will take massive amounts of heavy lifting with the paid CSS upgrade. If you don’t have a lot of experience with CSS editing, don’t even start. Kubrick is a very strange theme, and in addition to the CSS work, you will have to modify a bunch of background image files in a program like Photoshop or something similar.
You would be best to find a theme with a wider sidebar, or choose a different theme to modify (that is if you have CSS editing experience).

Any other theme anybody would recommend, It would be nice to have a slightly bigger sidebar on the right going a bit further on. I am looking for the free themes atm.

When talking of free themes, are you talking about on the internet? The only themes available to us here at wordpress.COM are the ones listed under design > themes in your dashboard. We cannot use the themes that can be downloaded on the internet. Those are for self-hosted wordpress blogs using the software from wordpress.ORG.
My suggestion is to look for themes you might want to use under design > themes and then preview them by clicking on the theme thumbnail.

I have activated Contempt but still some of the content from Recent posts still is coming out of the bar.

Now I dunno about the header which is also coming out
Experiences in the Community ,
how to make that that one does not bleed :(

The header looks just fine, but the tarot card thing is too wide for your sidebar. You will have to narrow the widget contents or widen the sidebar via css.
