Presumably you also have to change the input language for your keyboard. Control Panel > Regional and Language Settings in Windows.

Can you write in Marathi in a regular document on your computer? If so, you should be able to do the same on wordpress.com.

if yes, i think it should work simply by typing your post below, copy-paste to your wordpress ui and post…

This may apply to self-hosted blogs on wordpress.org, but not here on wordpress.com. -
Actually, you can set your text encoding under settings > reading. By default it is set to UTF-8 and really should not be changed as UTF-8 has become the defacto web standard and is not supported in all browsers.

Yeah, I always end up going to writing also to look for it, then I have to start pressing random buttons till I find it.
