How to ytransfer my followers from my posterous to my wordpress blog

Do my followers from my posterous blog transfer to my wordpress blog
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)
-
There is no process that specifically achieves this of which I am aware. I suggest you post a notice on your posterpous blog that directs subscribers to your new site here at WordPress.com.

You can set up email subscriptions by using this guide > http://en.support.wordpress.com/widgets/follow-blog-widget/
If you would like a follow button to appear on the bottom right hand corner of your site for those who do not have WordPress.com accounts see here >

You can customize the contact form with multiple fields, change the email address where you’ll be notified, and mark feedbacks as spam from your dashboard. http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact-form/

Note: As a spammer prevention you are limited to sending out 10 invitations at one point in time. -
Thanks Timethief
I left a message on my posterous blog and I went through the laborious process of sending out invitations from the WordPress site. However I am confused. WordPress cannot seem to decide whether a follower is a viewer or vice versa! Their support page instruction on adding a follower uses the term ‘follower’. But when you actually do it, there is only the term ‘viewer’ to choose from. Anyway, having done this all my invitees are emailing me saying they are being forced to open a WordPress account in order to view my blog even though the WordPress blurb says this is not necessary. Any advice much appreciated. -
I tagged this thread so Staff explain the fine points of adding viewers and followers to you. Please be patient while waiting for them to respond.

You can’t actually add followers yourself, they need to add themselves.
You can make it a bit easier on them by adding a Follow Blog widget to your sidebar via Appearance -> Widgets in your blog’s Dashboard.
