How was a script added to my blog page?
-
I logged into my blog on June 4th and after a while Firefox told me it couldn’t go where I had clicked because the following script was running: http://s0.wp.com/wp-includes/js/jquery/jquery.js?m=1333391137g&ver=1.7.2:1 What is that script and how did it get added to my blog page? I switched to Firefox from Internet Explorer because almost every time I tried to do anything except moderate comments on my blog my computer would freeze up. Would that be from this script? I haven’t had problems since I told Firefox to remove the script. How can I make sure this doesn’t happen again?
Thanks!

There are several scripts running on our blogs and Staff are able to tell you what they are. If you disable all your browser add-ons then what your refer to may disappear if that’e where it’s coming from.
However, I took a look at your blog. Are you not aware of how Google views low quality content ie. duplicated content that’s copied and pasted from media sites and other sites? See here > http://support.google.com/webmasters/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=66359

How do I get ahold of Staff? That’s actually what I thought I was doing by asking the question here. As far as I know I don’t have any add-ons
I clicked on that link and it showed a blank page..
But what difference would Google’s opinion of my blog make? I’m not going to stop doing analysis and documentation just because Google doesn’t recognize the need for them.

This is how you contact Staff ie. by posting here and I have already flagged this thread for Staff attention.
If you don’t care about how Google treats duplicate content that’s your choice.

That’s jQuery, it’s a common JavaScript library which we use for a few things around here.
You can read more about it at http://jquery.com/
