how was my password changed by someone else?

the password shown on the screen is not the one I typed in– how can it be changed like that? I can’t remember because i don’t know what this password is! PLEASE help!

It seems that you registered here only 1 hour ago. Are you referring to a verification/confirmation link sent to you in your email?

To change your password you either need to be logged in, or use the password reset tool here:
https://en.wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=lostpassword
If you need help resetting your password I’d recommend using that. If you’re able to login still, you can change your password here:
https://wordpress.com/me/security
However, you shouldn’t be able to visibly see your current password anywhere. It’s always encrypted. Where were you viewing a password?
