how & when is the RSS feed updated after a published post is updated?

  I observe that after I edit a previously published post I do not see the change reflected in my RSS reader (Feedly). I am not sure if this problem is caused by WordPress or my reader or some other software in the chain.

  Can someone please shed light on what is going on and explain if there is anyway to force a RSS update to reflect the latest post content?

  It updates instantly. Go to https://undenial.wordpress.com/feed/

  However, if you think that editing a post and then expecting to see it move the top of the RSS feed page out of datestamp order that’s not going to happen.

  Thanks. I confirmed WordPress is operating as expected yet I do not see my post updates in Feedly so it seems the problem is with my reader. I will try to sort this out with them.
