How/where do I go to get WordPress.com to disconnect from my Stripe account?
-
According to Stripe, WordPress needs to do this. I can’t open a ticket to request this because I don’t have a paid plan any more.
Stripe’s support page @ https://support.stripe.com/questions/disconnect-your-stripe-account-from-a-connected-third-party-platform says: “You may be restricted from revoking platform access if you signed up with a Connect platform that has platform controls for connected accounts. Reach out to the platform to initiate the disconnect process for you.“
I have already disconnected Stripe in wp-admin from Jetpack -> Monetize.
On the Stripe side in Settings -> Team and Security -> Installed apps, WordPress.com is listed under Connect Extensions. The “Revoke access” button is greyed out with the rollover text: “You don’t have permission to revoke access. WordPress.com helps manage this account.”
I want to continue to use my Stripe account without WP having access or having to create a new Stripe account and have to jump through the verification hoops to get it activated.
I searched the archive here, but didn’t find a match. The AI support bot was not helpful, telling me to do what I’ve already done.
History: I had a paid WordPress plan for many years and set up Stripe through Jetpack. Last month I cancelled my WordPress subscription.
Thank you!
