How will my domain look like eventually?

    I recently registered a blog on a free wordpress plan and opted for a different TLD, namely .co instead of the traditional .com

    The problem is that the blog appears with the dotco as part of the domain name. For example janedoedotco. worpress.com.
    Is this normal?

    I am humbly asking because I want to upgrade to the premium plan and the last thing I want my site’s address to look is something like janedoedotco.co

    Will it change automatically to janedoe.co once I do the upgrade?

    I’ve already tried to do a search on the domains page of wordpress and it shows the address as I want it, with a tick next to it. i.e.; janedoe.co

    Does it mean that everything is okay? In which case, I am getting worried for nothing.

    Maybe wordpress adds the dotco part in text as a way of differentiating alternative TLDs
