How will "Site Redirect" redirect the images to the new domain?
-
I want to move my blog to a custom site. I want to use site redirect but I do not want to lose the search engine indexes on images. Because when I check at google, I still see the blogname.files.wordpress.com domain as the orjinal image adress.
I want you to redirect with “301” all of my content to my new domain.
I do not want to miss any traffic from image search also.
My question is, when I use “Site Redirect”, how will you map gobegim.files.wordpress.com? How will you redirect the requests of gobegim.files.wordpress.com to my new domain?
Will it be possible to redirect gobegim.files.wordpress.com to http://www.ye-mek.net/Img?
I’m waiting for your response…
Thanks in advance…

I think this is a very important issue. Lots of blogger needs detailed explanation about site redirect. Images are very important for us. When we move our blog, will you redirect the requests to new domain also?
Please give a quick answer.

The Site Redirect upgrade does not affect your file URLs, as it could have a negative impact on any unattached media that is not transferred to the new host.
When you export/import your blog contents, you’ll have the option to transfer all attached media files to the new blog, which means that they will be served from that domain.
Google tends to favor pages over media most of the time, so as long as the pages themselves are updated, the search engine listings for the media content within should be updated rather quickly.
