How Will Transferring My Domain from GoDaddy Affect My Custom Email

  Hello, I’m looking to transfer my domain and website from GoDaddy to WordPress.com, however, I also use the said domain for my custom iCloud email addresses. Is it possible to use my domain in WordPress.com as my custom iCloud email address?

  Hello there,

  Happy to help you with this.

  Before transferring the domain, you would need to make a note of the DNS settings, needed to power the domain.

  Once the domain is connected, this would need to be re-added via Upgrades > Domains > click on the Domains > Settings > DNS.

  Thanks for your feedback. Please let me know if understand you correctly — I can manage my domain to set it up the same way I manage it with GoDaddy, e.g. connect it to an email provider of my choice (not necessarily linked to WordPress.com). Did I get that right?

  That’s correct. Once you transfer your domain over to WordPress.com, we’ll help you configure its DNS records so that you’ll continue to use your email.
