How/can i add xhtml to add a faccebook like button?

does anyone know how i can add fb like button from copy/paste without re writing the script from its original xhtml

Hi. You can’t use the code provided by Facebook, but depending on what you want…
If you want to add a “Like” button for each of your posts, go to Settings > Sharing and select that you want the “Official buttons” style.
If you actually want a widget on your sidebar for people to “Like” your Facebook fan page (no groups or personal profiles), go to Appearance > Widgets and insert the Facebook Like Box.

You can post a Facebook badge in your sidebar. http://en.support.wordpress.com/facebook-badge/
You can use the Facebook lie box widget found here > Appearance > Widgets
You can set up Publicize and publish to Facebook > http://en.support.wordpress.com/publicize/ -
