Howdy! How can we help? – is this pop up legit?

Most times I come on WordPress in the past few days, I have noticed a little blue pop up in the right lower corner of my screen, which says “howdy! how can we help?”. If I click on it, I can type stuff in to ask a question…but I don’t know if this is a legit thing for WordPress or not. Maybe its phishing or a virus?
If it is legit, how do I get rid if it however, because I don’t want to have to keep closing it down manually every time I use the site.

Yes it is legit – they have had live chat for the high cost upgrades – (business etc) – they are testing it for lower level upgrades – not all the time – so I suspect that when the folks working the help line have free time they put the box on other sites –
