HOWTO: Adding an image behind site title and tag line ?

    The title and tagline of my WordPress.com site have been set via Settings >> General. How does one place an image directly behind those items? It must be possible because it’s being done successfully here:

    http://wpbtips.wordpress.com

    How did he place that nice image behind his title?

    I saw the “Select Image” option in Appearance >> Header but when I set the image this way, it applies the image vertically

      below the menu

    , whereas I want it

      behind the title

    as on the site referenced above.

    Hope that makes sense.
