How/where can I add a google analytics tracking code on my blog?

I added a google analytics tracking code in a widget on the sidebar, but it showed up as text. How do I add this? Where do I put this?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

WordPress.com does not currently support Google Analytics tracking. However, we do offer built-in statistics showing you most of the same types of information as Google Analytics would display.
You can view your site’s stats by clicking the stats link in the grey admin bar at the top of your site. To find out more about how stats are measured and reported, see the following help page:
