HTML Code

Hello. Our blog has recently been nominated for an award by another blog. They emailed us an HTML code to recognize their recognition on our blog. I want the award to appear in a seperate page called “Press”. When I created that page and pasted the HTML code in the body of the page, it only appeared as a code and not the image. So…I added the HTML to a text widget which now appears at the bottom of our site’s homepage. Is there a way to insert the HTML somewhere at the top of the homepage so it is seen straight away OR is our particular theme unable to do that. Thank you. butterandyolk.wordpress.com.

You are correct. Manifest does not have the ability to post widgets in a sidebar, only in a footer.

You might be able to post the code you received in a Page, but we’d need to see the code they gave you. Can you post it here between backticks, which are normally found on the keyboard to the left of the number 1 key.

After you create and save your Press page, past this code into the HTML Editor and you’re good to go. Works fine.

If you’ve created a Custom Menu, don’t forget to add the new page to the navigation (if you didn’t check to have all top-level pages added automatically).
