HTML Code for Facebook Text Widget
-
Hi,
I’ve spent some time searching the forums for some answers on adding a “Become a Fan” widget to my blog for my QTMama Facebook page. I understand that the WordPress.com site does not support the javascript that FB uses for it’s ‘badges’.
I know it can be done via a text widget, but I’m afraid I’m a bit HTML challenged. Does anyone have the code? I’d like to have a pic, and simply Become a Fan! with a link to my fan page.
Thanks in advance!!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

You do not need to know how to code the software will do this for you. Find a Facebook image, capture it and save it to your desktop. Upload it into a new post and link it to the fan page. Then switch the editor from visual to html and copy and paste the code into a text widget.

Sometimes it’s the easy approaches that we overlook. :) There is no need for anyone learning to use wordpress software to learn how to code as well. The easy way to do this is to create a draft post first, then copy and paste the data into a text widget, and delete the draft post after you see the image display correctly in your sidebar.
