HTML code <a href > goes missing

    Hello

    I have looked around the forums and can’t find the answer so excuse me if someone has already solved this problem.

    I know basic HTML code so I know how to add a hyperlink to text and images etcetera.

    However, I notice that in the last few days I have gone back to edit some posts and the href code for the hyperlink has disappeared and I am just left with the a in closed brackets followed by the text and closed a command.

    Everything else after the first <a command is gone. This has happened in more than one post and in text widgets too.

    This is not happening to older posts and I wonder if the wordpress.com team have done something to cause this recently? I have been blogging on wordpress for quite sometime and have never noticed this before and can’t figure out why this is happening now.

    Please help as it is very frustrating to re-do the links over again.

    Could you post a sample of the code you used here between backticks (the key to the left of the #1 key with the ~ on it) so we can take a look at it.
