HTML code not working in text widget
-
Hello, my mailchimp list is not working in the text box widget. I have a wordpress.com account and not a wordpress.org account, would this change the ability to embed a sign up form?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi,
Did you follow the instructions in the MailChimp support page, including pasting the code generated on your MailChimp account into a text widget?
I have a wordpress.com account and not a wordpress.org account, would this change the ability to embed a sign up form?
The support page referred to above applies to WordPress.com accounts and not to WordPress.org accounts.

Thank you for the quick reply! I have seen that and I’ve already set up the popup form for my site. I am wanting to set up a permanent sidebar widget so that people that the option to sign up after the popup goes away. Any suggestions?

I hadn’t read the part about the popup going away after a visitor’s first visit. I don’t believe you’ll be able to modify that first visit only rule, unless you can do it at MailChimp. You may add a “modlook” tag to the sidebar of this topic to call for staff attention.

Ok will do! Yeah, I tried to put the code in the content box of a text widget but the code just shows up on site at the code itself.
There are two different types of widgets, the pop up and the permanent sidebar type that allows readers to subscribe. I’d like to have both ideally but only the former is working.

Hi @workweekfitness, we aren’t able to support a non-popup form in the sidebar just yet, but I’ll make a note about your request.

Hi Supernovia,
Thank you for getting back to me. What are the options to have people subscribe to the blog?
Thank you!
Sam

@workweekfitness We have several options here. This one is a widget that will send users new posts:
