HTML Editor
-
The WordPress HTML editor is loaded with bugs. Does anyone know of an alternative HTML editor for WordPress
-
It’s TinyMCE. You get used to it. Most of us around here don’t use it actually. With my own clients, I actually have written instructions on how to remove it from most Open Source projects that I install for them.
To turn it off and just use the standard editor, visit Dashboard -> Users -> Your profile and uncleck the box to use teh rich text editor and click on save changes.
Hope this helps,

I’m having strange problems with and without the rich text feature. Some html-elements just doesn’t appear to be saved. Actually, none does, I’m afraid.
I tried to make lists, links and boldings with rich text and with pure html. Not appearing on the site or it’s source code.
Annoyed. WP 2.0.5 and Firefox 1.5.0.7. I think they worked before but I can’t be sure.

Greets:
If you’re running 2.0.5, then you’re at the wrong site. You need to be over at http://wordpress.org as you’re running different software than what we are running here.
You may also want to list specificly what is being stripped out and give a link to a sample post of what is being produced.

Oh, my bad. I’ve been surfing around for the whole day hacking the system and having gzillion tabs open. Maybe I’d just go to sleep.
Thanks for the friendly warning and a fast reply. Keep up =)
