HTML editor sucks (sorry)

  Hello,

  can anybody tell me why the WordPress HTML editor stubbornly ignores my or <br> tags?

  I want to separate the two photos seen here:

  http://justitiacologne.wordpress.com/2006/10/21/alles-neu-macht-der-oktober/

  but they stick together. Also I want to put “mach neu” below the first picture and not beside it. All my efforts with or <br> tags are in vain.

  What can I do?

  if you turn off the rich text editor you shouldn’t have any problems with the br tag. go to dashboard, user, your profile and edit from there.

  May be because it’s <br />, not <br> :)
