  Hi,

  I’m trying to embed a video from another site (not from a commonly hosted video site like youtube, etc.) I’ve used the html embed code to input it into a block on my wordpress blog and in the html ‘preview’ the video seems to work. However, when I try to preview the blog post or publish it, only the html code appears. What am I missing?

  Is the video site included in the list in this support document: https://en.support.wordpress.com/videos/
  If you are using the Block editor have you tried the embed code via the classic editor?

  It looks to be a natively hosted video on a website, so no. I’ve also tried the embed code in the classic editor with the same result. It appears like it’s going to work and then in the preview mode or after it is published, it only appears as a string of html code.
