I made a HTML file for my main page. My plan was to upload it on the blog, and use it like a Welcome page… where I’ll have a cool picture and a text saying ” enter “
anyways, I don’t know how to upload it for that to happen. How do I do it? thanks -
You can’t upload any HTML files to your wordpress.com hosted blogs as there is no FTP access. If you want to have a post as a static main page, wordpress can handle it though! Take a look at:

You can’t code your own pages on WordPress.com, as you’ll see in the sticky thread at the top of the forum marked Read Me First. You can, of course, upload images and text. What, specifically, are you trying to do? Paste the code here between backticks, which are those marks on the same key as the ~. Putting it between backticks makes it display without messing up.

trent, That’s just like creating a new page and naming it HOME. I deleted the pages I created ( home, posts ) and now my blog doesn’t works. It says…

??? now, how do I fix my home page to be back to normal? I tried making a New page named HOME, and i deleted it, but it doesn’t works.

Timethief, I know, But I made the mistake to delete the page before looking at the “I have two home pages” , and now I’m stuck.

Not really. I’ll give you my Blog’s URL, so you see whats happening. I made a new home page, and it works, but my original doesn’t. So, i’m stucking on trying to delete the original because, it doesn’t appears on the management list or on my dashboard because its the original. I tried making a new Home page, and deleting it, but it still the same.

Write a post. You’re getting that error because you;ve deleted all of your posts and wordpress doesn’t have anything to display.

Not really, They all are shown on my Dashboard, and on my second Home page. My problem is that my Main Original page is not working. It says that what I’m looking for was not found, because I deleted a page called Main. Why? because I was doing the static tutorial, and I didn’t liked the results…. Now my home page doesn’t works. I made a 2nd one, but now, I can’t delete or fix the original.

We understand what you are saying. Please just write a new post and then see what happens.Write a new post. Dashboard -> Write -> Post. Your home page is a list of your 10 most recent posts.

Yes, I know, But the new comment displays on my second main page, not on my original Home page. I had to do a 2nd one because my original is not working.

Go to Serversblog.wordpress.com , and look at the second page. I did what you told me, but it just displays it there. The first one is the original.

Does somebody knows how to delete the first page. NOTE: the main page doesn’t appears on the management list, neither on the Dashboard.
