Due to security concerns, iframe and javascripts are not allowed:

That is why WordPress has changed the code, when you paste an iframe, WordPress just doesn’t accept iframes.
-
so … is this the best I can do:
Email me at (email visible only to moderators and staff)
and I will grant you access to my private Not Superman Rally – Blog

I guess so. Not unless you use Google Map. To jazz up the page a bit, you could always include screenshots.

Google Maps should work with WP. WP just changes it slightly when you paste the code, so it takes out the iframe format.
follow the instructions:
-
WordPress uses “shortcode” to add trusted sites to wp.com blogs. Google Maps is one of the trusted sites, so even though it uses an iframe, our software shortcodes over-ride the usually forbidden code.
Here is the support document about shortcodes:

Please do not include your email address in these public forums. Written the standard way, they will be automatically removed.Keep in mind that none of us volunteers reply to forum questions via email, so disguising your email addy with spaces makes you look like a spammer.
WordPress staff already has the email you used to sign up for an account and they can contact you if necessary without you typing in an address here.

WordPress has set things up so that you can embed google documents, calendars and maps in blogs here, but those are the only cases where the iframe code can be used. WordPress scans the post or page content and when it finds the iframe code for one of the above then they will leave that code. All other non-approved iframe codes will be stripped out.

Is there a way to get a company on the approved iframe codes list? I’m trying to embed maps from Garmin and Breadcrumbs into my blog. Their mapping is based off of Google Maps but has added functionality when it comes to GPS tracks. I would really like to use their functionality. They’ve got some cool stuff, but they use iframes

Those codes will be stripped out by the software here. There is no iframes list. If you wish when Staff reactivate the support link on Monday, September 19th (UTC) and suggest those two for inclusion here.

@beyondthegrind
As these iframes are not currently allowed on free hosted WordPress.com blogs your request to include them Staff will note them for consideration for inclusion in the future. Therefore, your request is actually an idea it’s not a request for support. Support is provided for the functions and features we already have. -
Ah thanks for the clarification. I’ll take a look and see what I can find under paid options. Unfortunately this bit of code is important to me. Might have to look at hosting elsewhere :(
