HTML not used properly

  I pasted a HTML into the Code Editor, when tryind to add a new post to my blog. The HTML results in the browser are butchered and don’t represent the correct output I get when I open the index.html manually in the very same browser.

  Why does WordPress not just read the plain HTML file and display it plainly?
  How can I solve this?
