HTML not working

    Hi!
    I want to add a Goodreads widget to my blog, so I added the HTML block and inserted the link in there. The problem is that whenever I preview my page, it turns into the link itself, then the widget I’m trying to add underneath, then the link again. Any idea why this may be happening and what I can do to fix it?

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi there,

    The HTML code from Goodreads won’t work in the HTML block. It’s meant for the Goodreads widget (https://wordpress.com/support/widgets/goodreads-widget/).

    However, your site uses a theme that doesn’t support widgets, so it’s not possible to add the Goodreads one.

    To be able to add that widget, you have two options:

    1. Switch to a theme that supports widgets

    2. Upgrade to the Pro plan, which will allow you to embed the Goodreads widget through custom code and/or plugins.
