HTML Posting Issue.. Please help

Hello Everyone,
I’m trying to add an HTML affiliate link and it’s not showing live. What am I doing wrong or not doing?? Below is the code I’m placing below the image code and the link on my blog where I’ve tried to publish it. Thanks! Joel

Are you saying I can’t add an affiliate link to a product displayed on my blog?? When I add HTML nothing shows up live when I publish. This is the issue. Please give me a ring. Thanks so much,

I looked at your blog. I see a Kubrik theme free blog from wordpress.com. I do not see an upgraded css customized blog. I see a free blog.
I have cut and pasted below the words found in the upgrades page found in the admin section of my blog. I have added bold lettering to that last sentence that does not appear in the original.In addition to all of the free features of WordPress.com, we offer a few options for paid upgrades for enhanced functionality. You can find this statement too by simply going to the upgrade page in the admin section of your blog.

Hello Mark and TT,
If I purchase the css upgrade will I be able to add the html affiliate links? I really would love to stay with WordPress. I will only be adding one affiliate link per item under the discription so that people viewing each product can go to a third party site such as BlueFly.com to easily purchase. Similar the way purseblog.com has done this. This is critical info that we must provide. People visiting our blog have been requesting info on where to purchase specific items.

Links to sites for goods to be purchased is okay.
Affiliate links are not because we have the 1 link rule as listed in the faq. -

There you will find that Andy clarifies the differences between wordpress.com and wordpress.org blogs and services.
Perhaps I’m going out on a limb here but I sense that your preoccupation with affiliate links and monetizing your blog is indicative of a blogger who has needs that would be better served by either (1) self hosting a wordpress.org blog template which can be downloaded free of charge or by (2) hiring a web host to do this for you. And once you exercised either option you can cover your blog is advertising and affiliate links and hack the template to your heart’s content. -
I see. Yes you are correct about the monetization. It’s being built for my sisters.. but of course I want them to make some cash. I have a hosting account with siteground.com, hostgator.com, and lunarpages.com. Will one of these suffice? Seeing that I already have this blog started what’s the easiest way to transfer it to one of my shared hosting plans? I just exported the blog to my desktop but I’m not sure if this is the right direction or what to do next. Thanks again TT. Hope you are feeling better soon.
