HTML problem on Home page

  • Unknown's avatar

The HTML for my home page is not being generated correctly. I am using the Twenty Ten theme, which is a two column layout. The posts should be wrapped in ‘<div id=”content”></div>’ but I have four posts that are outside of this div, and as a result the styles and layout are incorrect for those posts.

Why did this happen and is there anything I can do to fix it?

    Thanks for your help.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

This very well could be caused by an open HTML tag in one of your posts. A W3C validation report shows what appears to be a number of HTML tag issues.

Go to settings > writing and select “WordPress should correct invalidly nested XHTML automatically” and then click “save changes.”

Now, starting with your latest post, open it in the editor, make one minor change such as adding and then deleting a space, and then click “update post.” Check your blog and if it is back to normal, you are golden. If not, open the next post and do the same thing till it goes back to normal.

You are welcome and I had my fingers crossed it would take care of the issue.
